Each month I pick an artist or band and listen to as much as I can from their discography. Usually I choose ones whose music is new to me; sometimes I catch up with releases I’d missed; occasionally I just want to listen again to an old favorite. I might start from the very first album and proceed chronologically, or I might select this and that release for a varied sampling. Starting in January 2021, I’ve very much enjoyed having this additional context and structure to music listening. Bonus: I give myself an opportunity to reorganize my MP3 collection and tags, little by little.
